Dr.Sharna Wood is a consulting neuropsychologist and in demand expert witness working independently in Texas since 2009, although she has worked in assessment since 2001. Her training experiences were primarily within the public hospital system in Fort Worth, but she experienced a wide variety of settings, including neurocognitive rehabilitation, private practice, and rural outreach. Her professional career includes several faculty and director positions in the areas of psychology and neuropsychology.
Dr. Wood’s professional affiliations include the National Alliance of Professional Providers of Psychology, where she serves on the executive board, event coordinator, and as associate editor of The Clinical Practitioner. She is also a member of Aerospace Medical Association, and the National Academy of Neuropsychology.
Dr. Wood’s office is located in Cleburne, Texas and some services are available via telehealth. She is available to travel to evaluate cases for those whom travel is difficult or ill-advised. Typical turnaround time on consultative reports is about 3-4 weeks, but rush service is available.
In addition to private neuropsychology practice, Dr. Wood is also a respected lecturer, researcher, and has assisted major test publishers in data collection for psychological and neuropsychological assessment instruments for nearly 20 years. She is a life member of American Mensa, and enjoys gourmet cooking, organic gardening, and beekeeping.
Dr. Wood has lived in the Johnson County, Texas area most of her life and is proud to be serving the communities where she spent her formative years.
